'Rodney &
Penny' - fish hide in fear - at the sound of their name
(that could be why we
never seem to catch very many)
In a couple of places in this
email I have inserted 'smiley faced' flash sound buttons - which will play a
sound when you just put your cursor over them. They will probably
not appear for you in the normal email (even though I have
tried to code them to work - and hot-linked them from the website - you
can't really send Flash embedded in emails) - so I suggest that if you'd
like to hear them - you should view the email as a webpage online - by clicking
here.
And
nnnooowww - did I ever tell you about the MARLIN I caught . . . . .
FLASH BUTTON
Yes - unbelievable but true - as friend Fiona in America (who is one of
our email friends) can verify - because more than 20 years ago - she was with me
here in Australia on that yacht - sailing home from Narooma on the South Coast -
when I hooked and boated' the Marlin. She steered the yacht about -
for all the time it took me to play and land the big gamefish. And
20 years on and half a world away - we are now email friends.
There have been many other fish caught over the
years - but none ever as big as that one.
And that's it sitting on the wall.
So now let's board the 'Time Machine' and zoom up
to the present day.
to 2009 in Botany
Bay
You will recall THESE excellent catches from
fellow yachtie Andy
and let's not forget THESE good bream caught by
neighbour Laurie
SSOOO - I can hear you saying -

Well they're right here
That's right Penny - lots and lots of Tailor -

and here's a closer look
and here's a C L O S E

(Don't they look BIG
now?)
So don't tell me we can't catch B I
G F I S H !
Well at least we've got plenty of bait -
all ready for when they turn up.
Did I ever tell you about
the time I caught the big Marlin . . . ?
Well - - since you
asked - - - I was sailing up the coast .

PS Here's a photo of me (a bit shorter
& slimmer) carrying another fish I caught
