I know it's
just a common worker honey bee and you've probably seen lots
but it's not
so common on a yacht in the middle of the bay
with about a
mile to shore in every direction.
Whether blown
here on the wind
or misdirected
lost
who
knows.
The truth is,
that a few are landing on the yacht for a rest every day
so maybe they
are traversing the bay on their mission
and just using
the yachts in the middle
as 'driver
survivor' rest stops.
I was inspired
to take these close-up shots of our little visitor
by our friend
Maggie from Natal in South Africa
who takes
marvellous insect macro shots
around her
garden every day
and posts them
on
Facebook.
